Bryan Raydio - Brittle EP

Another EP all finished up! These are some old tracks that I never got around to finishing. I've tidied them up a bit and changed a couple things here and there, so check it out. Free as usual.

What if money was no object?

Some brilliant insight from the late Alan Watts.

Fox News is bad for America

Ted Koppel knows what's going on.

Oldest blacksmith still at work

84 years old and still gettin' it done. "I shall live tired but I shall not retire." Legend.

The Origin of Dubstep

Dubstep seems to be getting better these days, but this is still great.

Whedon on Romney

Awesome.

Ben Stein surprises Fox with the truth

Even Ben, an ardent Republican, agrees with the Democrats. The facts strike again!

Rick's meat rant

This is a couple weeks old but still very relevant.

Fun with a stopwatch

This is hilarious.

Face off with a leopard seal

This is a pretty amazing story.

Erin learns Dothraki

Just finished mastering an EP, it'll be up tomorrow! Here's a bunch of random bookmarks I've been meaning to post for a while.

Cody Chesnutt - Everybody's Brother

Now let's wind it down with this great live studio session from one of the forgotten kings of underground soul. He's got a new album out, give it a listen.

Tensnake - Mainline

Now this is just crazy. Early 90's Electric Circus written all over this one. Even the video is a beauty. Gotta respect these cats for having some fun with it.

The Flashbulb - I Saw The Sky

Here's another really original producer. He melts together elements of breaks, dubstep, house, jazz, and whatever feels right into some amazing stuff. Check this one out.

Kreidler - Rote Wüste

Now this is a bit strange. It's real long and trippy, but super cool if you're into experimental electronic psychedelic snacks. Check this guy out, he's pretty unique.

Red Fang - Dirt Wizard

New video from one of the best albums of last year.

Headstones - Binthiswayforyears

Hugh Dillon and the boys are hard at work on a new album, which is AWESOME news. These guys are right up there among the very best Canadian rock bands.

The Coup - The Magic Clap

Groovy new track from these crazy fellas. Kinda sounds like a cross between The Heavy and Outkast. I'm diggin' it.

The New Mastersounds - You Mess Me Up

Funk, funk, funk. Gotta love it.

JBrown & The Mic Smith - Cookin' Soul

Now let's add some hippity hoppity to that jazzy funk.

Billy Martin & Wil Blades - Toe Thumb

Dang I'm getting lousy at this blog thing. I'll do my best to pick it up. Got not one but two EPs all finished up, just need to do some mixing and mastering and they'll be up within the next week. In the meantime here's a bunch of random music, starting with this funky jazz duo.

Bryan Raydio - Backbeats For A Billionaire EP

New EP for you, free as always. A big different from my other stuff, more of a hip hop / glitch hop / dubstep feel to them, though they're all quite different I think. You can preview and download them here.

New speakers!

No time for posting tonight, but please welcome to the family my new twins - Yorkville YSM-1 studio monitors! These old-school beauties are pretty hard to find so I'm pretty stoked to get a pair. New original EP coming tomorrow! Awwww yisssssss!

Die Antwoord - Fatty Boom Boom

Well I just had to throw this one up. These guys are certifiably insane. Gotta love it.

Don Johnson Big Band - Living The Life

Here's some soulful hip hop grooves. Don't really know anything about them but they've got my attention. Kinda reminds me a bit of K-Os, who also has a new album on the way...

Dam Mantle - RGB

This guy is progressing nicely. Check out the new album if you're into something a little different.

The Herbaliser - The Lost Boy

New album out by these cats, just got it and I'm excited to give it a whirl. Here's the first single.

Seeed - Beautiful

Been busy setting up another blog, but I should be back to normal here. In exciting news I've got new studio monitors coming in on Monday so expect new originals soon. In the meantime here's some cool tracks including this awesome video.

Joe Biden vs Paul Ryan

We're on a roll! First O'Reilly vs Stewart was great, and now this beauty between the Vice President and the VP wannabe. If you're not into politics this probably isn't for you, but if you have an inkling of policy and enjoy seeing a greasy car salesman get absolutely owned on national television, then you'll get a kick out of this. How Paul Ryan was ever put in congress is beyond me. I wouldn't follow this guy's recommendation on what restaurant to eat at never mind how to run a country.

The Rumble 2012

Jon Stewart vs Bill O'Reilly. Say no more. Back tomorrow, I promise.

Wax Tailor - Time To Go

You will see this album on my best of 2012, I can promise you that. Putting a blue octopus into a stop motion video with Aloe Blacc on vocals is a bonus. See ya tomorrow.

Hidden Orchestra - Vorka

Since we're into some downtempo grooves, here's another beauty.

Sofa Surfers - In Vain

If you're into trip hop, you're into this. Dark and grimy goodness.

Breakbot - One Out Of Two

This guy finally finished his album. Pure french disco class.

The Discotexas Band - Undertaker

Never heard of these guys, but this is a dope cover of a new song from Moullinex.

Flying Lotus - Putty Boy Strut

Now for contrast, new wizardry from the electro-mystic.

Between The Buried And Me - Astral Body

Right, enough of that hipster stuff. Here's some proper progressive guitar massiveness.

Why? - Strawberries

I've always dubious of a group that has a question mark in their name. I'll allow this one. Future bands beware - keep the punctuation to yourself. Damn hipsters.

Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait

Long week, somehow I haven't posted since Tuesday. Let's make up for that with a bunch of new music today. I had hoped I would have another EP ready to today, but didn't quite get there. Maybe have it done in time for tomorrow. Enjoy these hipsters.
